Website Development

We are very pleased to announce that the Roger De Haan Charitable Trust has generously awarded us a grant of £7,000. The money will be used to make a number of improvements to the website. They will allow us to double the number of Prisoners of WWII commemorated on the site. The aim is to complete the work by the date of POW80, 7th June 2025

Sir Roger’s father, Sidney De Haan, was a POW. He is mentioned in The Clarion, number 7 page 1.

He was released in a prisoner swap organised by the ICRC in 1943.

After the war, he founded the travel company, Saga.
