EKRA – Ex Kriegies Re-union Association

As for EKRA, from the newsletters Kenneth Finlayson published annually and sent to Ex-Kriegies, it means Ex Kriegies Re-union Association. “Kriegies” is short for Kriegsgefangenen, prisoners of war. At the top of the first page of each newsletter is written “We exist solely to collect and impart information of interest to Ex-Kriegies”.

Here is the first of the newsletters he published between 1985 and 1995.

Kenneth also published a small indexed booklet of recollection of POW memories of some members, a copy of which I also have.
