My uncle, William Lewis ALCOCK, 11842, 20th battalion NZ Infantry was a prisoner of war in Stalag VIIIB according to his army records which I have. He was wounded in Greece and later died from his wounds in the prison hospital on 2 Oct 1941 and was later buried in the small town of Hohenelbe. His remains were later removed to the Commonwealth War Grave cemetery in Prague.
PS I did wonder if the “James Brown” listed was really Bill?
