James Frederick Anderson
Date: Sunday, February 03, 2013
Subject: My father, from New Zealand, 2nd World War prisoner in Germany.
My father was captured, before he was bought to Prison Camp Stalag VIIIB, later named Stalag 344.
His name was James Frederick Anderson. POW No 22741, and spent two and half years in prison, working at a sawmill during the day.
I am desperate to find information, as I want to visit the place where he was captured, and I thought he once told me it was Crete, but I don’t know where on Crete.
