Good Afternoon, 

I think my Great Uncle may have been held captive at this camp as an Australian Soldier. On his POW record it states “Captured in Crete Held Stalag 344”. 

His name was Jack Henderson Bailey. He lived a wonderful life after this experience, with my Aunty Dot. He lived into his ‘80’s.  We were told as Children never to ask him about the war, but he marched every year and took part in reunions with ex servicemen.
