Subject: Add a name to the list of POWs

I’d like to inform you of my grandfather, Fusilier Leonard William Ballantyne

Service No. 13099023, POW No128717 who was held at Stalag 344, in the hope that he can be added to your list.

From the stories he revealed to us, we know he was part of a work party in a cement factory, breaking his foot in an accident. He also escaped twice. The first time he was recaptured and shot in the process and the second time was while on The Long March.
