Subject: Leslie Barnett

My uncle (Royal Fusilier 14582419, Leslie Barnett) was captured at Monte Cassino on 12th May 1944 and was transported to Stalag VIIIB/344. 

He was later transferred to E75A, Knurow and I can confirm that it was a coal mine.

I am in the middle of turning his (brief) war memoirs into a book for family and friends.  

Like so many, until recently he preferred to forget about it. Now he is eager to remember as much as possible and would, I think, be interested to meet any other survivors still with us.

He will be 90 on March 12th this year.
