Subject: Stalag VIIIB/344 Prisoner of War Camp.

My late father-in-law, Walter Eric Bridger, was interned in Stalag VIIIB, having been capture in the Allied (British) campaign in Sicily/North Africa.

His details were as follows:

Bridger, W E, Service Number: 6401347, Private, Regiment: Army Air Corps, Capture Year: 1943, Theatre of War: Sicily / North Africa. Collection Source: Great Britain.

Regrettably, he is no longer alive and never discussed his wartime experiences anyway.
