John Bunce, known as Jack, was my great uncle on my mother’s side.

Please find attached a photograph presumably sent to John Edward Bunce by his parents, who was a POW in Stalag 344 during WW11. It is stamped as 18th June 1944.

I understand he was a member of the French Foreign Legion.

DOB 15/12/1912 – Broadstairs

Lived post war until 1964 in Amesbury Wiltshire

Lived afterwards in London

Registered death – Feb 2005 – Westminster
