My Father, Rex Noel Cherry, a 1st Australian Corps Signals serviceman, was captured on Crete and badly injured. He was reported missing and ended up at Stalag VIIIB. He was eventually repatriated back to Australia, in November, 1943, medically unfit. I don’t have much information re his war history. I have applied for his service records and have found a Red Cross card for him online.

As with most of these brave men, he never spoke about his experiences. It is very difficult to try and find any information. Should I post on the forum?
