I am Gordon’s son. Some information is family knowledge some came from a New Testament given to him in the camp.

It’s quite astonishing how little information I have on my father, especially concerning his war service. He wouldn’t talk about it to me or my mother and it was years before he would go abroad on holiday, strangely enough the first trip was to Italy.

My father told us he was in the Wiltshire Regiment at some point and used to say that for most of his service he was defending the UK from the relative safety of Lisburn Barracks.

Please include as much information and pictures as you can so that we can create a record of each man’s experience. With tens of thousands of POW records already on site please help us if you can by including at least one of the following: service number, POW number or date of birth.
