Please note that my late Grandfather Archibald Duthie was a prisoner at Stalag 344. This is corroborated below:

 Our Ref:  3448/08

 Thank you for the email on Archibald Duthie.  I can tell you that 2876486 Private Duthie was captured at St Valery and ended up in Stalag Camp No 344 – Lamsdorf on the border between Germany, Poland and Czechoslovakia.  He joined in autumn 1934 went to 1st Battalion in Aldershot and from there to France in 1939.
