Details are bit hit and miss as my father never discussed anything with me and very little with Mum. We know he escaped but don’t know what year but he and others were hid by nuns but betrayed by a Polish person and taken to Auschwitz. He was also on the Long March and repatriated by the Americans but don’t know which camp. I have tried for a long time without success at National Archives site to find anything about the escape but given in to failure.
