Subject: Lance Corporal William Douglas Garner

Would you kindly add my father to the list of POWs imprisoned in Lamsdorf Stalag VIIIB. His name is above and was with the Cheshire Regiment. A prisoner for 4 1/2 years and on the Long March at the end of the war. His working party was E232 and as far as we know he worked in a stone quarry. He never spoke of his imprisonment. My son (his grandson), Nick Blair, has researched through the Internet we seem to have hit a brick wall. We visited Lamsdorf last June and found the museum very interesting and we were able to put together a few details through an English-speaking guide
