I have two names which I would like you to add to your list of POWs at Stalag 344.

My uncle was Flgt Sgt Alex H. Milton, rear gunner of Halifax bomber ‘T for Tommy’ of 419 squadron of the RCAF based at Middleton St. George, Co. Durham which was shot down over Holland on February 3rd 1943. Sgt. W. N. Garnett was the navigator. Milton and Garnett survived but the other members of the crew perished.

I attach two photos taken in the camp which show Milton in the middle row, 4th from the left in the photo captioned Stalag VIII B and middle row 3rd from the left in the photo captioned Stalag 344. I do not know the identities of any of the other people in the photos.

I also attach a pdf file describing the shooting down of the bomber.
