The National Archives (UK)Other Sources (Relative's report + WO416 records transcribed by and held at the UK National Archives. Data processed and prepared by Rick Catt and Brian Cooper.)I recently bought your 2 books on Lamsdorf. They really gave me an insight on the struggles of the P.O.W`s.
My father was a P.O.W there for some time and also at Teschen . I can`t remember him ever talking about it .
He was captured on Crete, I would like to find out if he was on the long march or remained at the camp , his name was EDWARD GENT, Australian service no. VX22016.
I have a copy of his service record but it does not explain anything about the German Camp , or his activities when saved by the allies.
William Gent
