Hutt, Joseph
Private Joseph Hutt
From: Mo and Roger Hutt
Sent: Thursday, March 6
Joseph Hutt, my father, was in Lamsdorf following the fall of Tobruk. He mentioned that he worked on the camp newspaper and also that he and another POW (Tim?) escaped from the infamous march aided by the Czech Resistance. After his death in 1986 we found notes he had written unbeknown to us. I had these made up into a small book called Joe’s War. I am happy to email it you if you think it may be of use.
He was a Black Country man. He actually sneaked out of the barracks to see me when I born in 1940 but I did not see him again until his demob in 1945
