My Uncle Bill James  2984383 Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders was a POW at Lamsdorf and at Bad Karlsbrunn and mentioned extensively in the Book “The Long Way Home”. He was mentioned in despatches recording his attempts to escape in 1944 eventually escaping in 1945 and joined the 14th Armoured Division to whom he gave useful information.

 I have attached a poor photo of him.
