I know very little about what happened to him in the war. I think he was captured in Belgium. I remember him telling me he was not a prisoner for very long and they were given bars of chocolates when they were liberated. He managed to send a radio message to his mother telling her he was well.  I have a copy of the letter she received from the War office.
