Douglas D LENNIE – Australian Army, 2nd/2nd Field Regiment. At Lamsdorf from September 1942 – October 1943 and part of first POW Prisoner Exchange between the Allies and Germany which took place at Barcelona, Spain about 28th October 1943.

On 22nd April 1941 right arm amputated – result of battle at Brallos Pass in Greece and then in Athens for 3 months before being shipped to Italy then onto Germany to POW Camp VB at Villengen actually the Lazarette was at nearby Rottweil where he stayed from September 1941 until September 1942.

Do not think he was involved in any work camps because of his injury and in his letters back home his comments were always positive about his location and plight.
