My late uncle, Bombardier Basil Andrew Stewart Macdonald 913809 served with 67 Medium Regt., Royal Artillery, was captured at Tobruk and ended up in Lamsdorf after the Italians went belly up. Injured in a mine accident he died on 26 June 1944, age 23, in the camp hospital.
