Subject: William Macdonald Stalag VIIIB 

I have recently started researching my family tree and have been reading my great uncle’s war diary from WWII.

William Macdonald was a CPL. with the 1st Bn. Royal Regt. of Canada, (B 67334)

He was captured in Dieppe on August 19th 1942 and sent to Stalag VIIIB. (His prisoner of War number is 26699)

I know my great-uncle returned to Toronto Ontario Canada after the war. Although I have little/no information about his life, I do know he married a woman named Olive.

His war diary includes many strips and portraits;  he loved to draw and paint.
