Stalag VIIIB/344 Prisoner of War Camp

My name is Marie (nee Macey) and although I was born and raised in Poole U.K. I have lived near Perth in Western Australia since 1989.  I would be very interested in finding out more regarding my father’s internment as a British P.O.W. atStalag VIIIB Lamsdorf / Stalag 344. He was captured in Crete in 1940 and spent five years as a P.O.W. His P.O.W. no. was 24266 and his Army no. was 7261543, he was a Corporal in the R.A.M.C and it is my understanding (from what little he told me) that he worked as a masseur in the hospital at Lamsdorf.

 Please add his name to the list of internees at Stalag VIIIB Lamsdorf / Stalag 344

 NB: The National Archives UK have mis-spelled ‘Samual’ – as ‘Samuel’
