Fusilier Richard (Dick) Marrin
Richard Marrin
My uncle was the Dick Marrin who lived at 48 Malvern Crescent. He was wounded at Dunkirk and taken prisoner. He never married and was one of six siblings: 3 boys and 3 girls: William, Terry and himself; the girls were Kathleen, Isabelle and my mother Stella. They have all unfortunately passed away now. In the early fifties my uncle Dick emigrated to Australia but shortly afterwards was killed in a hit and run incident. He is survived by 3 nephews: myself Sydney and Gorden Marrin; 2 nieces: Isabelle Pemberton (my sister) and Denise Marrin.
