I have recently started to try and find information about my Grandfather who served in WW2. I recently visited the Army Museum in Waiouru and found out which prisoner of war camp he was in. He was held at Lamsdorf camp for 3 years. His name was Private Benjamin Peter Martinson, no 21590 .POW no 21654. At the Army Museum, they have a wall on which the POWs could write their names. My Granddad ,who passed away 20 years ago was able to write his name on it.
