Below is a photograph of my uncle John Leonard McConkey with four of his mates as POW in Stalag VIIIB.
The reverse of the photograph has signatures of his mates. It was a post card sent to Pte John Leonard McConkey’s father Mr A McConkey, 250 Durlacher Street, Geraldton. It is a bit hard to read so I have written it as follows:To Mac,
A reminder of the good? old days. From the boys.
Signed: Corey? (Unfortunately this signature is a bit hard to make out).
