My grandfather James McStravick, was a POW at Stalag 344 from his capture in North Africa. He was also on the Death March, he was repatriated in 1945 and died in 1974. He did not speak about his time in the camp, except to be grateful to the Red Cross and his faith. My brother and I are his nearest living relatives.
