My father, Flight Sergeant Norman Nicoll was a prisoner in Stalag VIIIB from 1942. His plane was shot down at the end of June 1942 over the Netherlands but I don’t know the date he arrived at the camp. He made a couple of escape attempts from working parties but was returned to the camp both times. He was part of “The March” in early 1945 and was liberated by the Americans.
