My Grandfather, Private Charles Henry (Harry) Sands, served in the British Army, Army number 6400479, 7th Battalion Royal Sussex Regiment. He was captured in Amiens on the 20 / 5 / 1940 . He was taken to Stalag VIIIB. POW number 15664. He survived the Long March and was liberated on the 3rd May 1945. Then returned home to England.
