POW  20737 1941-1946? He was discharged from the RWK 27.2.1946 but with Reserve duties still on his record.

I have only recently received my father’s service book and record and have found out that he was in Stalag 344 Lamsdorf for nearly 5 years.
He died in 1982, and he never spoke about this time of his life. He came home missing a finger but would not say how it happened.

I am the last one of our family alive which is why the records have come to me, being the youngest son, and I am now 81! It seems a bit late to be finding out information, but better late than never?
