Editor’s Note: The National Archives (UK) has recorded the Date of Capture for Peter Shepherd as 24 June 1944. Casualty Lists state Shepherd as “Missing 13th June 1942”.  The year of capture (1944) is likely to be an error, therefore we have recorded the year as 1942. Correct date of capture to be confirmed.
