James ‘Jim’ Sneddon, (1911-1981) 8th Battalion, Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders
Jim was a PoW at Stalag 344 from some time in 1944 until the war’s end, having been captured in France in 1940 whilst serving with the 51st Highland division. He had previously been a Pow at Camp 73, Fossoli di Carpi, Italy. He was born in Glasgow but moved south in the 1930s and after the war lived in Essex.
