He was a Sergeant, and the Wireless Operator / Air Gunner in the aircrew (team)of Warrant Officer John Morton Burroughs ‘Johnny’ BLACK (whose service number was: 748714); and he was the only survivor of this air crash (!), while all other 7 crew, incl. ‘skipper’ Black, are buried in the Sage War Cemetery now, in NW Germany
