Weston, A A W
Private Arthur A W Weston
My late grandfather, Arthur Weston (along with his great friend, Albert Humm) spent several years in Stalag VIIIB. Much of his POW Info is held at POLSK, the Polish Cultural Centre in London, but I have audio files and a Canadian? documentary about one of the several pilgrimages that my grandfather organised in the 70s/80s, which is currently being copied to DVD. I will upload these in due course.
Arthur Weston headed the prosthetic limb group in camp making wooden limbs. See https://www.prisonersofwarmuseum.com/medical_facilities/artificial-limb-workshop-at-stalag-viiib-344/
He also exchanged post-war correspondence with Elfriede Hannak.
