My father was a POW at Stalag 344 Lamsdorf 

Private Herbert Harry Whiting 6345745

He was in the Queens Own Royal West Kents and his POW Number was 4940.

Sadly I never knew my father as he and my mother divorced when I was a baby in 1949/50, I have discovered that he passed away in 1993 aged 80.  If this mention helps to keep his memory alive I will be very proud.
