My grandfather Sgt Gabriel Cochran Williams, RAF service number 1108747, was a navigator in the RAF and was shot down on the night of September 16/17th 1942 and was captured by the Germans on the 17th of September 1942. He was a POW in Stalag VIIIB, his prisoner number was 27144. Unfortunately, my grandfather died many years ago and with him he took all of what he knew about his time in the war, as he was not one to talk about it. I do not want history to die with him.

I have telegrams and his prisoner ID tag.
