Len Williamson

Shortly before the outbreak of war in 1939 Len was called up and served with the 3rd Army Field Workshop. He was captured in 1940 in the Calais/Dunkirk area of France.

Len was sent to Stalag VIIIB and worked at a sawmill, E119 Mankendorf (Mankovice). 

Len wrote the story of his experiences during the war, from the time he joined up until his release, in Six Wasted Years.
